No Stones, Just Persecuted With Crumpled Paper

Saturday had been a day prepared for my family to attend a home Church in an informal settlement in Hopewell, KwaZulu-Natal. We were to meet Greg and his family and drive out to Hopewell to a mission run by Austrian nationals who had sold up all in their European homeland to come and settle in their new missionary home where they now do the Lord’s work in that community.

I received an unexpected call on my cellular from a brother named George asking if I would be going out as normal to my local fishing spot that morning. I was somewhat surprised as I normally do the calling and often the persons I call cannot accompany me for some reason or another. This morning it was different -- I explained to George that I would not be going out as we were invited to attend a home Church this Saturday morning at 10h15. The time was 07h34 and for reasons unbeknown to me at the time I changed my mind and told George I would love to be out there with him and would meet him just after 08h00 at the spot opposite the City Hall. I hurriedly got ready and made the short journey into the CBD. To pass time I handed out tracts at a pedestrian crossing while I waited for George’s arrival. During this time I engaged an Islamic man named Sameel (pronounced Sha-meel) who understood what was revealed to him through the proclamation of the Law and the Gospel of Grace. I took down his mobile number as he had to rush off to work -- which was also about the time when George arrived -- and Sameel said he would like to continue our dialogue another time. Please pray for Sameel that he will come to repentance and the Lord Jesus will cause him to convert to Christianity. [I will record this conversation at another time should we meet for our follow up.]

At this time I greeted George and we made our way through the flea-market to the corner we normally fish. George is a brother who truly loves the Lord and has been out with us previously when we have open-aired. He enjoys handing out tracts and engaging the lost. It is for this reason I am thankful for George’s obedience to God our Father for contacting me on Saturday morning. You see, George did not have my mobile phone number until he had phoned Mark, who in turn referred him to me and gave him my number. We spoke a while and handed out the odd tract to passer-bys and then – the reason for our meeting materialized.

With secular music, pomp and even drum majorettes leading the procession, a church for all people named Deo Gloria Family Church came by with gay men and lesbians – some dressed in fairy wings, glitter and furry scarves, etc. This was a mockery of what God stands for. I ventured to the island in the middle of the dual roadway in front of the City Hall and started proclaiming the Law. The crowd and their senior pastor reverent Deborah Bell started shouting down the Gospel of Jesus Christ being proclaimed. There was no fear and to explain it I was under the Holy Spirit’s control. I had irate members of this church, gay men and lesbians and a self-righteous pastor tell me that I should move on and leave them alone. I proclaimed that I do not hate gay men and lesbians, but I am here to warn them of the wrath to come and that they are to repent and believe the gospel. The more I proclaimed the Law and took them through the Holy Standards of God I was shouted down. I had a gay man stand “in my face” (I was not elevated, besides standing on the island separating the traffic lanes) who threatened to smack me, which I told him he is welcome to do so, but his pastor called him away. Deborah then took up the place of challenging me on how long I have been doing this and that I am misguided and that she was a pastor of 15 years. Proverbs 20:6 says – Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? While I preached for all to hear there wasn’t time to record all that was going on around me. [I pray for a faithful servant who will join me to record the happenings that take place in future.]

"God loves you just as you are" -- Can anyone help me with the Scripture that says this! God is also not a "Heavenly Parent" -- HE reveals Himself in Scripture as our Father.

Whilst I continued in the strength of our Lord Jesus (Philippians 4:13) I had placard waving persons shouting me down, threatening me and disrespecting the proclamation of the Law and the call to them to repent. I took the Sword out and I was told by 'pastor' Bell that I mustn’t refer to 1 Corinthians 6:9,10. She had other Scriptures that she could refer me to. She asked for my Bible, but I wasn’t going to readily relinquish my Sword. I was also told by her that I was misguided and I should leave.

While all this was taking place, I had a male person tapping me gently on my head with a similar banner you see in the photograph (above) -- more attempting to distract me from proclaiming the Truth. I thank God that retaliation never once came to mind as I beseeched them to repent. For today they would only be getting the Law. 1 Corinthians 1:18 says – For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.

The procession then moved off and I continued proclaiming the Law calling them to repent before a Just and Holy God. When a flatbed vehicle went past I had two gay persons throw crumpled paper at me -- one 'struck' me on the head; it could have been their false tracts -- and they angrily “showed me the finger” -- this is because the Law was doing its work (Romans 2:15). I do wonder if 'pastor' Bell saw the “love” expressed by her gay congregation to a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. While the procession departed it allowed me to continue proclaiming the Law to a crowd that had now gathered to see the commotion. I also recited that Jesus said that they will hate me for they hated Him first -- John 15:18 reads: If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

After the procession had rounded the corner I was consoled and encouraged by faithful George, a sister named Michelle and another Indian brother (both from the flea-market) where I read to them Romans 1:18-32 which sets out reasons why the gay parade reacted the way they did. George and I prayed that all who received our tracts and heard the proclamation of the Law and the Gospel of Grace will repent of their evil and wicked sin and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that God the Father will cause them to be born again (John 3:3,7).

I thank our God in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ for the obedience of George, Mark and I – if I had not answered the call the opportunity would have been lost. God knows what is best. We take things for granted, but God knows when and where we are to be for His Glory. I humbly submit and believe the gay parade was where God wanted me.

It was a wonderful morning’s fishing as always.

After checking their website at www.deogloriakzn.co.za under their vision it says: This is the prophetic word given to Pastor Deborah in 1998 for Deo Gloria Family Church.

Homosexuality is not a sin, not a sickness.

In response to this I quote 2 Timothy 4:3,4 -- For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Christian, wake up. Be faithful and proclaim the Law and the Gospel of Grace. As can be seen from these two videos below it is going to get a whole lot worse as the day of our Lord's second coming draws ever near.
