Doers of the Word

Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only. (NKJV) ~ James 1:22
We can become terribly negative in our Christian lives. We crawl into our shells and are always on the defensive. Instead of launching out and gaining new territory for the kingdom of God, we sit back and become very introspective.

People might recognize us as Christians because of the things we don't do. We don't do this and we don't do that. In the early church, the Lord's people were known as His followers because of what they did: "The people that have turned the world upside down have come here also."

The Lord Jesus went about doing good. His emphasis was always on the positive, "Go ye into all the world. Go and work for Me in My vineyard. Seek first the kingdom of God."
